Site Update...

Thanks to everyone who has gone over, had a look, provided feedback etc. You will have seen it evolve massively over the past 3 days. Some updates:
- New users not getting verified email: this was happening to about 1 in 15 by the looks of it, I'm delving deeper into this but in the meantime I've auto verified everyone so you will now be able to log in and post.
Fixed calendar on mobile view for registering, this should now use your native phone's calendar input and work much better. IF you couldnt register because of this, then try again now and let me know.
Indentation on mobile view has been fixed so its more compact and indentation levels stop at a certain point to stop long threaded replies becoming unreadable on mobile.
Width of the pages has now been set to a percentage of your screen size and presuming within min and max widths so reflect as you make you screen bigger or smaller.
Fixed an issue with the browser tab labels.
Added admin tools to allow verification via admin, also added diagnostic tools on new registrations and verifications to help trace issues for new users.
A poll no longer also needs message text, you can post a poll with no message.
YouTube URL's can now be embedded so the video plays in the app rather than redirecting you to YouTube itself.
Admin messages only show on page 1 of posts not on all pages.
Replying to a message and clicking the subject title now automatically highlights the whole subject text.
Issue where reading one reply marked all replies as read is now resolved.
Added functionality to the registration and sign in password screens to allow a user to view the actual password if needed.
Reply display order now shows most recent in that thread first, reflecting original TPF layout.
No need for any text to be in a reply message, new messages do still enforce this.
Formatting of "Reponses" links within a post now reflects the same formatting as the main posts page.
Removed bold formatting to usernames to help create clarity between read and unread messages.
Made the thread collapse buttons more obvious as to what they are/do.
Tweaked reply "list icons" to be more inline with TPF formatting.
Added an email trigger that lets a user know when their account has been verified.
Amended verification process to be a code number rather than a link to click (as these can be often blocked)
and Emoji's

- So, you want colour to be the differentiator, as opposed to font weight? nt. - Rainhill Runaway July 11, 2026 3:36pm
