This is a game of chess being played between Moyes and the owners, going into the last season without yet securing a renewal of contract. Hard to say with full conviction how this team will perform. There are reasons for aspiring to a European place challenge but the lack of goals remains such an issue. Would not surprise me to see Moyes getting a tidy pay off before Christmas, and a late bonus for ensuring survival during Goodison’s last season.
