...other than a few inane pointless questions from the panel as ever!
My take having seen this: I'm not sure he will play again now. I'm hopeful that - after a break - he will be rejoining Everton in whatever capacity he wants to.
I'd probably see him doing his coaching badges but actually getting involved more on the mentoring/motivation side of things and maybe even as part of the interview process when recruiting players - he'd be in a pretty unique position to judge how suitable players would be for Everton specifically having evolved with the club and straddled both the old and the new ownership, and not many clubs would have that resource available to them.
One thing's for sure - he's clearly a fantastic Evertonian and a wonderful human being - we're blessed to have had him at our club and I'd love him to be back again soon 💙

- Fair comment - especially given the "old boys club" no-marks that we've given a job over the years..
