first half, both the crowd and the players seemed strangely subdued - wasn't quite the atmosphere I was expecting - we looked a little tentative and on the back foot for large parts, creating little until Barry's header went over late on. Rashford caused a lot of problems down their left, felt a bit sorry for Rohl who is playing RB to the best of his abilities but clearly isn't cut out for defensive duties, especially against higher calibre opponents. They went close on a few occasions, the better side whilst looking less that the sum of their expensive parts overall. Was glad we got in still level, but any hopes we could regroup and take the lead after the break were quickly dashed. I missed their first as I was still getting back to my seat. Feared the worst and whilst we did start to get forward a little more effectively for the next 15 minutes, you didn't sense an equaliser was imminent. Moyes, who has been rightly criticised for sitting on his hands at times when we have been behind, got the subs pretty much spot on today. I feared George (who I thought was our best player today) was going to be the one to make way for Grealish, but switching him to the right and taking Johnson off was exactly the right move. Looked like it was all for nothing as they regained the lead (Pickford should probably have kept it out) but we did actually seem to be getting more of a grip in midfield than we'd had in the whole game and Hackney played a big part in that. People starting to leave way before the end but I had a feeling we might just get another chance to grab a point - step forward Maitland Niles. Not even a half-chance really. Absolute screamer, hard pressed to say whether that was better or not than George's. I think we deserved it for sheer persistence. We were right next to the United fans in the East Stand and silencing their cocky chants and taunts was very satisfying! Arrogant twats. So, still unbeaten this season but a long way to go and some obvious potential pitfalls to negotiate. I think there's potential in this squad but, as much as it frustrates, patience is going to be required - the rest is up to the owners and the board.
