The Transfer Window/CEO The squad is perilously thin but overall quality a touch higher Only idiots leave everything to the last minute because stuff goes wrong Kinnear is blagger, with firm form for similar screw ups (particularly late, late sales) at Leeds with his mate Hammond The Owners They are not a PE company They have never sold a company they bought They are trying to get an expansion NHL team in Houston That will drain resources Making it even more vital we & Roma operate within our own cash flow and grow organically The recent £14M investment was for relatively small upgrades at HD, GP, FF More is needed at FF but we might need a training ground sponsor to help fund The Manager Contributed to the issues with restrictive player specifications Did not agree with sequencing of deals, wanted his RB (Doue) early at any price Warned Kinnear about weakening the squad with late sales Understandably furious Is being offered an extension to try to stop him going nuclear - will he sign? Is it wise? The Fans Understandably furious Understandably nervous about thin squad/the dreaded R word Understandably angry with owners who do not understand the club/us Leaping to conclusions & peddling conspiracy theories Might we get sold? Maybe if TFG need cash for NHL team but as of today it is not the intention No, they are not asset stripping (see the investment above) SCR and What Next Restricts how much any owner at any club can spend Encourages regular sales by treating trading profit as revenue (albeit smoothed over 3 years) We had come down from 90% to Esk estimated 77% last year to me estimated ~70% this year We should be able to spend in January but it is a cash flow low point so maybe loans? Boycotts of in ground spend will only hurt SCR & hence the team There are better ways to protest but the objectives IMO should be: 1. More direct engagement & understanding from Dan Friedkin 2. Kinnear & Hammond out 3. A return to DoF not committee & that might mean Moyes has to go season end because he does not play nicely with DoF Anyway, back to other stuff.
